MI-350 Advanced Microwave Measurement System
The MI-350 Advanced Microwave Measurement System (AMMS) is composed of several configurable MI Technologies products. These products are designed to be fundamental building blocks that enable the MI-350 AMMS to encompass the widest possible range of applications. The MI-350 AMMS consists of:
- MI-3000 Arena™ Data Acquisition and Analysis Software
- MI-750 Advanced Digital Receiver
- MI-710C Integrated Position Controller
- MI-3121 Synthesized Signal Sources
- MI-788 Networked Acquisition Controller (optional)
MI Technologies’ MI-350 AMMS offers the user an extensive array of features and options that provide solutions for the most demanding measurement requirements allowing users to fully automate the antenna measurement process from setup to analysis and reports.
The MI-350 AMMS can be configured for a wide range of measurement applications, providing the user with a selection of far-field, compact range and near-field systems. Specialty and custom applications for radome, radar cross section (RCS), component and wireless applications are also available. All of the major instruments in the MI-350 Advanced Microwave Measurement System are designed to coordinate both data and measurement control over Ethernet. This common interface provides economical flexibility with a worldwide standard to add configuration breadth and ease of use.
The MI-3000 Arena™ Family of Software is a cooperating set of modules that when tied together can manage instrumentation configuration, data acquisition, display processing and data evaluation. No other antenna measurement software solution has the breadth, flexibility and performance of the MI-3000. Its ability to handle the wide range of acquisition management, data analysis and system control requirements of all kinds of measurement systems is unmatched in the industry.
The MI-350 AMMS has been designed around the fastest system receiver in the industry: the MI-750 Receiver. With 4,000,000 samples per second and advanced DSP algorithms offering a choice of several digital filter types, the MI-750 allows the Advanced Microwave Measurement System to lead the industry in performance.
The MI-710C constitutes a state-of-the-art platform for implementing motion control solutions. The modular architecture increases connectivity to a wider variety of positioning equipment while maintaining backwards compatibility with existing MI-4190 based solutions. This flexible chassis design allows the MI-710C to be configured with a variable number of amplifiers and connections for a variable number of axes.
MI Technologies’ MI-3121 and MI-3122 Synthesized Signal Sources provide a fast, accurate and economical signal generation solution for a wide range of test and measurement applications.
All of the major instruments in the MI-350 Advanced Microwave Measurement System are designed to coordinate both data and measurement control over Ethernet. This common interface provides economical flexibility with a worldwide standard to add configuration breadth and ease of use to the MI-350.
MI-788 Networked Acquisition Controller is an optional addition to the MI-350 for some data collection and beam steering applications. The MI-788 manages position data and position timing from existing position control solutions.
